Camel Safari in the Thar Desert
Rock gently into the golden dunes as the sun drops low over the Thar — a slow, unforgettable ride that ends with chai in the sand.
A Slow Ride Into the Dunes
The Thar Desert begins just beyond Salawas, and there's no better way to feel its scale than from the back of a camel, swaying slowly toward the horizon as the light turns amber. Our camel safari in Jodhpur is unhurried by design, giving you time to enjoy the journey, the changing landscape, and the wide desert horizon rather than simply covering distance.
Camels and handlers are sourced from local families who've worked with these animals for generations, and every ride is accompanied by an experienced handler on foot or camel throughout. It's a simple, authentic way to experience the desert while staying connected to the people and traditions of the region.
